BEAUTY UNLEASHED!!! That was the theme for this year’s 2013 Mane Stream Hair and Beauty Expo! The expo was October 27th-28th at the Tampa Convention Center! Not only did Eyes On You attend the expo as a vendor this year but we were even asked to judge a Makeup competition at the expo!!!! Wow-zers! The makeup competition was on Sunday the 28th and was judged on an Avant Garde look.
Avant garde is known for being dramatic, artistic, and often extreme. The polar opposite of a natural look, avant garde is all about creativity and expression! You see these artistic makeup looks on the runway and fashion show models, for advertisements and special photo shoots, in fashion and beauty magazines, and for pageants or performance events. You’ll also run across these looks in the Eyes On You makeup artists’ portfolios to showcase their talent, and for makeup competitions or challenge events, as well as holidays and other special events.
The winners of the makeup competition won amazing prizes! All prizes consisted of our Eyes On You Motives Makeup line! The Motives prizes totaled more than $1,000.00 in value! …..Now that’s a competition I’d like to be a part of! ……but for those of us that didn’t win the makeup competition, we can always order our favorite Motives products on the Eyes On You website (sigh of relief)
